MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
This position provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Entering purchase invoices and liaising with suppliers to ensure we keep a good working relationship
• Entering and chasing credit card receipts from staff members
• Entering expenses on to the accounting system and monitoring mileage claimed
• Entering Contractor payments into the payment system
• Making Bacs payment to suppliers
• Posting accruals and Prepayments
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
• Sorting daily incoming post
• Reconciling finance accounts
• Ensuring Trail Balance is up to date at the end of each month
• Credit Control
• Ensuring Trail Balance is up to date at the end of each month
• UK Bank reconciliation and European banks reconciliation
• Assisting with preparation of UK and European VAT returns
• Maintaining Fixed Asset register
• Posting accruals and Prepayments
• SAP - essential
PERSON SPECIFICATION
• University or College graduate with major in an accounting-related degree.
• Accounting experience
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Powder Point
• Able to work on own initiative or with others on tasks with minimum supervision in a demanding working environment
• Able to communicate effectively with suppliers and other members of the organisation
• Complete understanding of margins, turnovers and inventory.
• Strong work ethic and integrity
• Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
• Good negotiation techniques
• Business fluent in English and Mandarin
Advantageous skill:
• Additional language skills of Korea and/or Japanese would be highly advantageous
• Experience in Asian FMCG industry preferred
42.5 hours, 08:30- 18:00 Monday to Friday
