We are based in Aston, Birmingham with immediate requirement for an Office Assistant for an immediate start temp to perm role.


The successful candidate will;

The ideal candidate will be advantageous to be clear about customs clearance and be able to apply knowledge and working experience in Import in Sea and/or Road Freight and Air and have determination to achieve the objectives to support our business growth.

Duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:

* Receive documents from clients and thoroughly check details to meet compliance which will then be uploaded into an in-house system.

* To present high volumes of data processing to adhere to customs regulations and to meet sailing deadlines.

* Updating client's records efficiently and accurately

* Preparing and submitting customs entries for Import from China to UK

* Scanning of documents

* Clear goods through customs

* Responding to client queries professionally via multiple channels (emails, wechat, whatsapp etc.)

* Working to SLA`s and KPI`s, reactive to new jobs and tasks that change daily as well as multi-tasking


Skills and Qualifications:


* Excellent administration skills and experience

* Analytical and numerate with a high level of speed and accuracy

* Very good attention to detail

* Being able to work under pressure and to multi-task to meet deadlines.

* Have the flexibility to work overtime throughout busy periods.

* An understanding of Custom's would be advantageous although is not essential.

* Excellent communication skills

* Self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy and hardworking

* Willingness and ability to learn quickly new skills and working practices

*Competent IT user with experience in Excel/Word and Outlook

*Proficient in Excel, comfortable manipulating and analysing large amounts of data using core functions

*Ability to work alone and as part of a small team

*High attention to details with good commercial understanding

*Good problem-solving skills.
